Mapping FrameMaker Styles to WebWorks Publisher Styles

Page styles

Each FrameMaker file that you convert produces at least one output file. Page styles typically define features such as background color/images, header/footer, navigation bars, and so on. If you map a FrameMaker paragraph tag to a Publisher paragraph style that starts a new page, Publisher generates a new output file each time that format is used in the FrameMaker source files.

Automapping page styles

By default, Publisher assigns page styles as follows:

If your project contains only one FrameMaker source document and doesn't generate any split files, Publisher assigns the page style Single. If the file is split (resulting in more than one output page), the first file is mapped to TOC, the middle files are mapped to Normal, and the last file is mapped to Index.

Manually mapping page styles

Here's how to change page style mappings:

  1. Display the Properties dialog box for the whole project or a specific file (see Viewing mappings for details).
  2. Click the Output tab. By default, the Pages subtab is displayed.

  1. To change a mapping, click the FrameMaker file name in the Filename column, then select the page style mapping you want to assign from the drop-down list near the bottom of the tab. Repeat for each page style you want to remap.
