Mapping FrameMaker Styles to WebWorks Publisher Styles

Graphics styles

Graphics styles control how WebWorks Publisher Standard Edition converts the contents of anchored frames from the source FrameMaker document.

Graphics are converted using the WebWorks Rasterizer printer driver, which you install along with WebWorks Publisher Standard Edition. Publisher prints each graphic to a PostScript file and then converts from PostScript to the final output format. You will probably notice the FrameMaker print status window flashing on the screen as your project is generated.

Automapping graphics

A FrameMaker anchored frame can contain one or more of the following elements:

The contents of an anchored frame determine the frame's default processing:

Referenced graphics used more than once in a document are converted only once. Before conversion, WebWorks Publisher Standard Edition builds a complete list of all anchored frames and imported-by-reference images. WebWorks Publisher Standard Edition suppresses the generation of duplicate graphic file names for any imported-by-reference graphics. It also assigns unique file names to imported-by-reference images. They don't retain their original file names.

Note: You can change how graphics are automapped by editing Publisher graphics style definitions, specifically by changing the "Import by reference" option or file extension associated with a style.

Manually mapping graphics

Here's how to change graphics mappings:

  1. Display the Properties dialog box for the whole project or a specific file (see Viewing mappings for details).
  2. Click the Output tab, then click the Graphics tab.

  1. To change a mapping, click anywhere in the row containing the style, then select the graphics mapping you want to assign from the drop-down list near the bottom of the tab. Repeat for each graphic you want to remap.
