| Mapping FrameMaker Styles to WebWorks Publisher Styles |
In a printed document, cross-references often include page numbers to help the reader find the target item. Online, these page numbers are irrelevant since the user can click the hyperlink and jump to the topic itself. Therefore, some cross-reference formats used for print documents need to be modified for online use. In most cases, cross-references are changed to just <$paratext>. Publisher automatically creates a hyperlink of the cross-reference.
| Note: | Often, cross-reference definitions for headings include curly quotation marks (") and ("). If you don't want your output to contain quotation marks, you can edit them out in the XREFs tab. |
