| Mapping FrameMaker Styles to WebWorks Publisher Styles |
WebWorks Publisher character styles are mapped to both FrameMaker character styles and character style overrides. An override occurs when you don't use a character tag to apply a character style, such as applying boldface in FrameMaker by using the B button on the QuickAccess toolbar or by pressing Ctrl+B. Overrides are all grouped together as +Override at the top of the list on the Character tab. If you map +Override to Default, Publisher will generally preserve the formatting created by the overrides. Ideally, you should minimize the use of overrides in your FrameMaker source documents.
As with paragraph styles, character styles are automapped based on their name-Publisher character styles are mapped to those FrameMaker character styles whose names exactly match. In addition, Publisher will try to automap any character overrides in your FrameMaker document.
You can change character style mappings during the project creation process through the New Project wizard (see Creating a new project). After the project is created, you can change character mappings from the Properties dialog box.
